DURANGO — A third person has been arrested in connection with the slaying of a man in southwest Colorado. La Plata County sheriff’s officials said Thursday that 19-year-old Shanice O. Smith of Farmington, N.M., is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder. Bond was set at $500,000.
